VIDEO: Jeff McNeil Makes Absurdly Sweet Catch Into White Sox Net
By Parker White

New York Mets outfielder Jeff McNeil caught a fly ball in a way we've never seen before on Thursday against the Chicago White Sox. Knowing that there was extended netting all the way down the line, McNeil went full speed to track a ball down and went spread eagle right into the net.

Not too shabby for a player who is an infielder by trade, right?
Heck of a catch by Jeff McNeil. He leads the Mets with 8 Defensive Runs Saved this season https://t.co/qk5m54JXSZ

Not only was the catch itself pretty amazing, but the landing was excellent. It's not very often you see a player hold onto the catch, knowing they are going to collide into something. Hopefully, if every ballpark decides to extend the netting down the lines, we could see a lot more of these kinds of outfield plays.
Pitchers will certainly be happy about that.
Better than Derek Jeter coming up limping with a face full of blood, am I right?
