Disappointment midway through the season is nothing new for the Mets. It's such a fact of life for them that even the gameshow "Jeopardy!" recognizes that, as is evident with this absolutely hilarious prompt about them giving up after starting 31-41 in the 2017 season.

And unfortunately for Mets fans, it's still relevant to this day. The team is 45-54, 14 games out of the NL East, seven games out of the Wild Card, and playing in what appears to be a lost season. But hey, at least the fans have something to laugh about now, right?
