VIDEO: Jerry Jones' Sad Reaction to Failed 4th-Down Conversion Sums up Cowboys' Season
By Scott Rogust
Thanksgiving is usually the Dallas Cowboys' big day. Each and every year, the Cowboys come out on top and flex their muscles over their adversaries -- at least it feels that way. That's not the case this year, as the Buffalo Bills have dominated the Cowboys from the get-go. With head coach Jason Garrett's job in jeopardy, he didn't do much to help his cause on Thursday afternoon. In the third quarter, the Cowboys faced a fourth down just outside the end zone. Quarterback Dak Prescott attempted to hit running back Ezekiel Elliott on a wheel route, but the pass just bounced off his fingertips. Owner Jerry Jones' reaction following the play says it all.
That's the look of a man who cannot wait to get rid of his head coach.
Even if you aren't a Cowboys fan, it's frustrating to see a team with so much elite talent struggle due to coaching inefficiencies. In fact, the Cowboys have yet to beat a winning team in 2019, which certainly doesn't help their Super Bowl case.
While reports indicate that there will be no coaching change this season, Jason Garrett's days in Dallas are officially numbered after this one.
