VIDEO: Jesse Winker Pranks Sonny Gray in Reds Clubhouse With a Fake Snake
By Michael Luciano
Snakes...why did it have to be snakes? Cincinnati Reds outfielder Jesse Winker nearly gave resurgent starting pitcher Sonny Gray a heart attack when he set up an elaborate prank that included hiding a plastic snake inside of a cooler in the Reds locker room.
Looks like Winker was trying to bring a premature end to Gray's big comeback season by sending him to the hospital. Everything might be "fair game" inside an MLB locker room, but that's pretty low from Winker. Even if you're not afraid of snakes, if you see one slithering around in a cooler you'll panic just like Gray did.
Even though the Reds have been settling into fourth place in the NL Central, it's nice to see that manager David Bell is still keeping the clubhouse loose.
New acquisition Trevor Bauer better not be afraid of snakes or resistant to pranks, because his new teammates seems to be quite the rowdy group.
