VIDEO: Jets Owner Christopher Johnson Admits How Awful His Team is in Comments to Traveling Fan

The New York Jets are a disgrace to professional football, and owner Christopher Johnson should get the lion's share of the blame for this train wreck. Johnson, who assumed control of the Jets after his brother Woody was named the Ambassador to England, has on his hands a 1-6 football team being coached by the picture of ineptitude in Adam Gase. Johnson doesn't exactly have a ton of confidence in his team, as he plainly told a Jets fan who made the trip to Jacksonville to watch them play the Jaguars.

Maybe hiring your coach based off of a phone call from Peyton Manning isn't a good way to do business?

Johnson, who was key in both bringing Gase to New York and declaring him the winner of the power struggle between he and former GM Mike Maccagnan, is the one common denominator through years of terrible football. Ever since the Johnson brothers bought the team in 2000, they have made the playoffs just six times, and haven't registered a postseason trip since 2010.

I'm sure this is just what this toxic Jets team needs right now. I wonder how the owner trashing the entire team (which he would never do in any official capacity out of pure cowardice) will go over in the locker room.

The Johnson brothers have run this franchise into the dirt, so at least acknowledging that their business is floundering and they have no idea how to hire people is a good start towards fixing it.
