If you're wondering why New York Jets safety Jamal Adams, who is normally everywhere on the defensive side of the ball, picked up just one tackle in a loss to the pathetic Cincinnati Bengals, we finally have some clarity.

The normally emotional Adams was described as "distraught" after he left the locker room in a walking boot on Sunday. Adams claims he injured his left foot during the first series of the game, but played through it.

Adams, who reeled off 6.5 sacks in the Jets' three-game win streak against the Giants, Redskins, and Raiders, wasn't his usual self on Sunday, as Andy Dalton carved up the Jets secondary in a 22-6 loss.
For someone who goes as hard as he does on every play, seeing him get this frustrated is painful to watch.
Adams, Sam Darnold, and Le'Veon Bell are essentially the only guys worth a damn on this team, both on the active roster and on the coaching staff. Losing Adams for any extended period of time is a good way to send morale into the toilet in what has been a horrific season for the Jets.
