VIDEO: JJ Redick Reveals Funny NSFW Request He Made to Zion Williamson at Start of Pelicans Camp
By Sam Dunn

JJ Redick isn't old in normal person years. At 35, he's still got a lot of living (and presumably) podcasting to do. But entering his 14th NBA season, he's no spring chicken in basketball years. It goes without saying, then, that he doesn't have a whole lot of time to mess around and "rebuild" after joining the New Orleans Pelicans in the offseason. Right on cue, he revealed at the team's annual media day a particular demand he issued to new franchise face and fellow Duke Blue Devil Zion Williamson at the dawn of this 2019-20 preseason.
"Look man, don't f--- this up for me."

JJ Redick let @Zionwilliamson know he has never missed the playoffs in his NBA career ?

Couldn't have said it any more clearly than that.
Believe it or not, Redick hasn't missed the playoffs even once since entering the NBA in 2006. From Orlando to Milwaukee to the Clippers to the 76ers, he's played at least one playoff game every single year -- and no fewer than six in each of the last half-dozen postseasons.
Let it be known that Zion Williamson will carry the burden of JJ Redick's legacy this season https://t.co/UaNLpQGUad

Don't mess this up for the elder statesman, Zion! Those creaky knees and ankles of his will only hold up for so much longer.
