VIDEO: Joe Burrow Thinks He Could 'Never Stop' Running in Life or Death Situation
By Jack Murphy
After being crowned as 2019's Hesiman Trophy winner only to go on to lead his LSU Tigers to a national championship, Joe Burrow sat down with Sports Illustrated for an interview. And while he admitted to having never run on a treadmill before, he bet that he'd be able to hoof it indefinitely if it was a matter of life or death.
Burrow is in over his head here a bit on this one. Yes, he was the best quarterback in college football this year but thinking he can "never stop" running is a bit extreme -- especially when he had never once stepped foot on a treadmill.
(Maybe he's a Peloton guy.)
To be fair, the QB was just having fun with the questions sent his way by the interviewers. Fair play to the man who could very well end up being the No. 1 overall pick in April's NFL Draft.
We don't care if Joe Burrow can run around the full geographic perimeter of the United States, as folks are more interested in how he'll perform in the National Football League. In the meantime, he may want to see how he fares on a treadmill ahead of the Scouting Combine. It doesn't hurt to try.
