VIDEO: Joe Burrow Throws 4th TD of Game to Justin Jefferson as LSU Dominates Georgia
By Jerry Trotta
Georgia's defense faced a stiff test heading into Saturday's SEC title game against Joe Burrow and LSU, and that challenge became much more demanding as the game wore on with the Tigers' defense stifling the Bulldogs' offense. What was once a competitive game headed into halftime is now a genuine annihilation after Burrow extended LSU's lead to 34-3 with a touchdown heave, his fourth of the game, to wideout Justin Jefferson.
A pair of Georgia's defensive backs ran into each other on the play, creating a gaping hole in the back of the end zone for Burrow to work with, and, as expected, the Heisman favorite took advantage.
Consider the white flag thrown as LSU has put a monstrous exclamation point in clinching a spot in the College Football Playoff, making a strong case for their candidacy as the No. 1 seed.
