VIDEO: Jonathan Villar Reaches on 9th-Inning Single to Complete the Cycle Against the Yankees
By Karl Rasmussen

Jonathan Villar had himself a night against the AL East-leading New York Yankees. The infielder was unstoppable at the dish, going 4-for-5 throughout the game. He entered the ninth inning needing just a single to complete the coveted cycle, and managed to pull it off against Aroldis Chapman, blooping a single into right field.

Villar became the fifth player to hit for the cycle in the 2019 season, joining Shohei Ohtani, Jake Bauers, Trea Turner, and Jorge Polanco. The speedster drove in two runs on the night, hitting his 15th home run and recording his 42nd extra-base hit.
While the Orioles couldn't come away with the win, the blame can't be shouldered onto Villar, as he was having an outstanding evening.
