VIDEO: Josh Donaldson Brings the Rain with 2-Run Shot Against Mets
By Scott Rogust
"The Bringer of Rain" has struck down in Atlanta. The Braves found themselves in a 2-2 deadlock with their NL East rivals, the New York Mets, on Wednesday. With a man on first in the bottom of the sixth inning, Josh Donaldson took a Steven Matz pitch deep to left-center field to give the Braves a 4-2 lead.
Donaldson is on fire as of late, and has played a pivotal role in the Atlanta Braves taking over the top spot in the NL East standings. Over his past six games, Donaldson has now clubbed five deep balls, clearly turning the corner from his rough start to the year.
