VIDEO: Josh Donaldson Destroys Home Run to Give Braves Extra-Inning Lead
By Kevin Aquino
Josh Donaldson crushed his 25th home run of the season and gave the Braves a one-run lead against the Nationals.
The 2015 AL MVP has a .256 batting average in 104 games with Atlanta after spending last year with the Blue Jays and Indians. The 33-year-old got his 1,000th career hit on Monday, also against the Nationals, before taking the Braves to victory yesterday and today.
After hitting the 200 career home run mark earlier this month, The Bringer of Rain clearly has plenty left in the tank going forward.
The Braves got the better of Washington in their recent series, picking up the last two games after dropping the first.
