VIDEO: Josh Donaldson Stays Hot With 2-Run Dinger on the Road in San Diego
By Sam Dunn
The Bringer of Rain just keeps bringing it. After going yard right before the All-Star break only to hit two homers in Atlanta's first game of the second half Friday night, Josh Donaldson is keeping things consistent. In the top of the first inning this evening, he took Joey Lucchesi deep to stake the Braves a 2-0 lead over the Padres.
All in a day's work for the former MVP, who now has 21 long balls on the season. With Atlanta enjoying a six-game lead in the NL East, we're looking at happy times in Braves Country right about now-- and depending on how things go at the trade deadline later this month, they might get even happier.
