VIDEO: Josh Reddick Ejected and Freaks Out on Ump After Awful Strike 3 Call Helps Rays Beat Astros
By Adam Weinrib

I wish I weren't writing the exact same story every day! I really wish that were true. Unfortunately, another Major League Baseball game was inexorably altered by an umpire's errant blink on Thursday. In an 8-7 game with one out in the ninth, Josh Reddick was called out on a full-count pitch well below his knees, and let the ump have it with vigor.

You may not agree with Reddick's methods, but there's no doubting he had the sharper eye for detail on this call.
By a wide margin.
this was a called strike three on Josh Reddick

The Atlantic League’s robot umps can’t get here fast enough pic.twitter.com/LTa5V6nVB2
And it only got lower as it passed! The d'Arnaud frame job wasn't even very good. There's so much to dislike here.
And Reddick went all Pagliacci in the aftermath.

The disrespect on this call, folks. What was the goal here? To throw Emilio Pagan a bone after the Rays had blown 45 successive leads in this three-game set?
At some point, I'd love to cover a correct call. It would feel good.
