VIDEO: Justin Herbert Suffers Injury After USC Defender Barrels Headfirst Into His Knee

Oregon Ducks fans across the nation were holding their collective breath after Justin Herbert took a shot to the knee against USC on Saturday. Trojans defender Kana'i Mauga was trying to take Herbert down, but instead of going for a clean hit, he lowered his helmet and bowled right into Herbert's knee.

Herbert immediately went down in pain and was escorted to the sideline, though he returned to the game shortly after, a major bullet dodged for the Ducks.
Whether or not there was intent behind Mauga's hit remains unclear, but it certainly didn't look good for the USC defender to make contact directly with Herbert's knee.
