VIDEO: Justin Upton Leaves the Yard in His 1st At-Bat Since Returning From IL
By Will Fowler
Justin Upton made his 2019 debut for the Angels Monday, after a toe injury kept him out of action for the first two months of the season. Well, it didn't take long for Upton to get back into the feel of things, as he left the yard on the very first pitch he saw.
It seems like Upton has wasted absolutely no time finding his midseason form, as he quite literally needed just one pitch to send an Edwin Jackson fastball into the seats, jumpstarting the delayed start to his 2019 season.
Upton is a guy that the Angels will need to production out of if they want to make a run at a playoff spot. This is an extremely encouraging way to start the season for the veteran outfielder.
