You simply cannot convince us the Lakers are a real NBA title contender while KCP is still getting meaningful minutes. Those two things are not allowed to be mutually exclusive. In the Lakers Friday night contest in Dallas, Caldwell-Pope yet again proved why he should be stuck on the end of the bench, or perhaps a DNP.

The Lakers bench is awfully thin, featuring the likes of KCP and Alex Caruso, among others. While there may be a few bright spots considering Caldwell-Pope's three-and-D potential, the bumps in the road have turned into craters. Get this man out of the game, Frank Vogel.
