VIDEO: Kevin Durant Reveals Confrontation With Draymond Green Played Role in Him Leaving Warriors
Thursday morning's episode of First Take was a must see. Stephen A. Smith somehow convinced Kevin Durant, mid-rehab and facing the Nets' struggles as an observer, to come on the show to talk about basketball and his recent offseason. Obviously, the question that everyone wanted answers to is what exactly caused him to leave the Warriors. Turns out? Our conspiracies were somewhat true.
Yes, KD admitted to his beef with Draymond Green being a major factor in his departure, along with other reasons, including key role players departing from the team.
While we found it interesting to finally hear it said out loud by the man himself, it's really not that shocking that the Draymond conflict was part of his decision. Just look at this verbal altercation between the two in the middle of a game last November.
With two guys that are so emotionally high-strung, there was bound to be a blowup at some point. Even without that fight on his ledge, KD would've still left, of course, in all likelihood. Now we wait and see how he and Kyrie Irving, a player who's had issues with his teammates in the past, get along at full steam.
