VIDEO: Kevin Pillar Getting Hit by a 30 MPH Pitch Starts Giants' Game-Winning Rally in Sweep of Pads

You read that right, 30 MPH. San Francisco Giants center fielder Kevin Pillar was hit by a pitch going just 30 MPH. As insane as that is, here's how and why it happened:

San Diego Padres right hander Luis Perdomo seemed to have thought that time was called by the umpire. However, he still threw the ball in Pillar's direction and it just so happened to hit him right on the foot.

The HBP was not only incredible for its insanely slow velocity, but also for the fact that it led to a game-winning run by the Giants.

That's probably the slowest pitch we'll ever see hit a batter in the MLB. Although the situation was caused by miscommunication between Pillar and the umpire, it was still unreal to see this happen and result in a huge rally.

The walk was also a nice change of luck for Pillar, who was having an otherwise mediocre day at the plate. On top of that, the Giants completed a three-game sweep of the Padres after their offense exploded once Pillar reached first.
