Although a bit unorthodox, his motion has certainly yielded positive results over the course of his illustrious career.

Kimbrel led the MLB in saves for four consecutive seasons from 2011-2014, earning the Delivery Man of the Year and Reliever of the Year awards in that timeframe.
Since 2014, he managed to be named Reliever of the Year again in 2017, and has been named an All-Star three times for a grand total of seven appearances since entering the majors in 2011.

He failed to sign with an organization in the offseason because he desired more money than any team was willing to pay him. However, his holdout finally paid off when he struck a three-year contract with the Cubs worth $43 million.
Now, the former Rookie of the Year will likely be making his season debut sooner rather than later, and Cubs fans couldn't be happier.
