VIDEO: Kyle Schwarber Crashes Into Keston Hiura With Highly Questionable Slide During Cubs-Brewers

This is sure to get the internet up in arms, but here we go. During Friday's matinee between the Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers, slugger Kyle Schwarber attempted to break up a double play with a slide into second base, but you be the judge to determine if this was legal or not. Keston Hiura sure took a hit here on this play:

Is this legal pre-new-slide rules? Absolutely. But, the MLB has now strictly enforced the new guidelines, which require runners to slide straight up and through the bag. But here, Schwarber twists his body (on a bit of a late slip) and clips Hiura's legs.

Is it super dirty? Definitely not. But based on the new rules, this seems to be highly questionable.
