VIDEO: Kyle Schwarber Obliterates Leadoff Home Run to Put Cubs on Top of Reds
By Thomas Carannante

Nothing like a good old SchwarBOMB to lead off the game against a division rival, right? Chicago Cubs fans can thank Cincinnati Reds pitcher Anthony DeSclafani for this meatball that Kyle Schwarber sent DEEP into the right field bleachers at the start of Friday's matinee.

A strong 1-2-3 top of the first from Kyle Hendricks followed by a missile from Schwarber has the Cubs off to a tremendous start.
It feels like we haven't seen a bomb like that from Schwarber in a while, and that feeling is surprisingly valid.

The 449-foot bomb was Schwarber's longest homer since August 2017, and it flew out of the park at 112.1 mph. Talk about making good contact.
