VIDEO: LaMelo Ball Puts Defender on Skates Twice in Unreal Sequence
By Jerry Trotta

It took quite a while, but we are finally hopping aboard the LaMelo Ball hype train, and we'd advise you to do the same. A report dropped last week which indicated the young point guard could be in the conversation to be selected No.1 overall in the 2020 NBA Draft. The news that followed claimed that four teams -- the Raptors, Trail Blazers, Nets and Pelicans -- have been conveying serious interest in Ball. Well, LaMelo had a chance to authenticate these rumors in a game for the Illawara Hawks on Friday night, and it's safe to say that he did just that:
LaMelo didn't have to do him like that... TWICE ?

Sheesh.
We hate to call for anybody's job, but courtesy calls for that defender to hang up his shoes and call it a career, right? How can you show yourself on a basketball court after being dropped like that twice in a matter of seconds?
Ball, however, did more than just flash his handles in this one. He finished with 12 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals, while shooting 6-for-17 from the field.

We never though we'd say it, but LaMelo looks the part, folks. Something tells us that he'll fit in just fine in the NBA if he can formulate a few devastating ankle-breakers every now and then.
