VIDEO: LaVar Ball Tried Hyping Up Lonzo as ESPN Rolled a Clip of Him Bricking a 3-Pointer
By Brendan Azoff

LaVar Ball is just having a miserable day on First Take, and after failing to flirt with Molly Qerim he now failed to hype up his son Lonzo Ball when he terribly mistimed a claim that Lonzo Ball can "shoot the lights out."
You can hear LaVar's voice say "bang-bang" just as Lonzo's shot bricks off the back rim. It is hysterical to watch over and over again, and epitomizes the outrageous, shameless bluster LaVar fires off on a daily basis.
Lonzo Ball has talent as a passer and defender, but has seriously struggled from the field in his career, shooting just 30% since he was drafted. His quirky shooting form has caused teams to live him open from beyond the arc, where he shot just 33% last season. Ball has also struggled from the line, as he is just a 44% free throw shooter in his two pro seasons.
lol lavar just said on first take that the reason he said he didn’t want the lakers to send lonzo to the pelicans is because he DID want them to. “I was playing chess,” he says, which is famously not something a person playing chess would say.

Maybe this clip will show LaVar that his son is authentically not a good shooter, and that he does indeed brick threes a lot more often than he makes them.
Ah, who are we kidding? He'll keep on doing exactly what he's always done.
