VIDEO: LeBron James Gives Awesome Shoutout to Kobe Bryant on Instagram

Isn't it funny that there were actually people who believed that LeBron James would play second fiddle to Anthony Davis on the Los Angeles Lakers? If the early stages have been indicative of anything, it's that this is The King's team, and that concept proved true on Sunday night during the Lakers win over the Atlanta Hawks at the Staples Center. During his stellar showing, LBJ dapped up Kobe Bryant, who was sitting courtside. After the game, James extended his appreciation of the Black Mamba with an awesome shoutout post on Instagram.

If two future Hall of Famers showing each other love doesn't make NBA junkies weak in the knees, we don't know what will.

When asked about what it meant to be playing in front of the five-time champion, the kid from Akron let it all out.

James clearly made it a point to show out in front of Kobe, as he compiled 33 points on 13-for-21 shooting (62%), including 6-for-10 from beyond the arc, seven rebounds, and 12 assists.

It marked the Lakers' fourth consecutive victory as they maintained their position atop the Western Conference standings with an 11-2 record.

We'll go out on a limb and say that LeBron is doing his best to carry on Bryant's legacy in the purple and gold.
