VIDEO: LeBron James Notches Another Triple-Double and He's Carrying the Lakers Right Now
By Scott Rogust
After a down 2018-19 season in his debut with the Los Angeles Lakers, many thought that LeBron James was entering a decline after a groin injury took him out for the majority of the year. This season has proved otherwise. Entering Tuesday night, James recorded two triple-doubles against the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs. LeBron did it again in the Windy City, as he scored 30 points, dished out 11 assists, and grabbed 10 rebounds in Los Angeles' 118-112 comeback win over the Chicago Bulls.
After dropping the season opener against the crosstown Clippers, the Lakers have been on fire, winning six straight games. Plenty of credit can go to LeBron, who's averaging 25.5 points, 11.2 assists, and 8.0 rebounds.
Prior to the Bulls game, James tallied 39 points, 16 assists and 12 rebounds against the Mavericks this past Friday, while posting a stat-line of 21 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds on Sunday.
"The King" isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
