VIDEO: LeBron James Responds to Hearing MVP Chants From Lakers Fans on the Road in Houston

The Los Angeles Lakers went into Houston and easily defeated the Rockets behind 31 points from LeBron James. The NBA legend continues to play at an elite level, even without Anthony Davis on the floor, and shows no signs of slowing down. His performance earned him MVP chants from the crowd in Houston and The King was admittedly humbled after the game.

There were a lot of Lakers fans in the crowd at the Toyota Center and that certainly impacted the noise level toward the end of the game. Regardless, it is still a huge statement to receive MVP chants on the road, no matter of the makeup of the crowd.

The fact James is still playing at an MVP level in his 17th season is other-worldly and he deserves the recognition wherever he goes.

There is going to be a huge void to fill in the league once James starts to slow down and retires. Yet until then, he continues to dominate and the Rockets were humbled themselves after a primetime loss.

At the end of the day, fans on both sides were just grateful to witness another world class performance from James.
