VIDEO: Lions Fan Hilariously Streaks Across Ford Field in Preseason Opener Against Patriots

The moribund Lions weren't providing much entertainment for the fans in Detroit in their preseason opener against the New England Patriots, so one committed fan took matters into his own hands and decided to show Matt Patricia how good his 40 time is. That same idiot, complete with purple hair and a Barry Sanders jersey, blazed across Ford Field before diving into the end zone and being detained by law enforcement.

Hopefully this was worth spending the night in jail.
To give credit where credit is due, the fan did manage to get all the way into the end zone on his run. Barry Sanders would be proud.
Lions fans didn't even want to see their hero taken away in cuffs, as they were frantically chanting "Let him go!" to the officers on the scene.
Some Lions fan sprinted across the field only to be tackled in the end zone. At least he scored, right?

Matthew Stafford, Matt Patricia, and the rest of the Lions look doomed for another poor season, so it looks like this is what it takes to give the loyal fans in Detroit something to cheer about.
