VIDEO: Lonzo Ball Once Said He Didn't Want to Play in New Orleans on 'Ball in the Family'
By Jerry Trotta

Well, this is awkward. In a previously-recorded January edition of "Ball in the Family," Lonzo Ball and girlfriend, Denise Garcia, were asked a series of questions about the city of New Orleans. Of course, this was all in response to the Los Angeles Lakers repeated attempts to acquire Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans ahead of the Feb. 7 trade deadline. And if there's a theme to take away from the following video, it is that Lonzo wants absolutely nothing to do with Nola.

"New Orleans is very different."
"That place is definitely haunted."
"I mean, we won't be coming here."
Mr. Ball, we'd like to formally introduce you to our good friend, who never fails to emerge in situations like this -- irony.
The Pelicans have agreed to a deal to trade Anthony Davis to the Lakers for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and three first-round picks – including the No. 4 overall in 2019 Draft, league sources tell ESPN.

Sorry, Zo. We know its a daunting ask, but you're going to have to overcome your irrational fear of ghosts, quit acting like a petulant adolescent and rep the Pelicans threads with pride. And while you're at it, convince LaVar to come around to the idea.
This is just the beginning of what is likely going to be a long summer for the Ball family.
