VIDEO: Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Throws a Missile to Get a Limping Brock Holt out at Home Plate
By Michael Luciano

Toronto Blue Jays utility man Lourdes Gurriel Jr. is showing everyone that his defense has improved and he's more than just a promising young hitter. Playing left field in a game against the Boston Red Sox, Gurriel showed off his cannon arm from left, hitting catcher Danny Jansen on a line to nail Brock Holt at home and prevent him from tying the game at 1-1.

In his first full season in the big leagues, Gurriel is hitting .275 with 9 home runs and 25 RBI while seeing time at shortstop, left field, and second base.
While Gurriel's throw was undoubtedly sublime, Red Sox fans were quick to note that Holt, normally very fleet of foot, came up a little lame while rounding third base.
Looks like the runner pulled a hammy too
