VIDEO: LSU RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire Owns Texas Fans With Savage 'Horns Down'
By Jerry Trotta
College football fans were treated with their first dose of a TRUE rivalry game of the 2019 season on Saturday night when the No. 6 LSU Tigers squared off against the No. 9 Texas Longhorns in Austin. The highly-anticipated showdown, which ultimately saw LSU emerge victorious in a 45-38 barnburner, had everything that a proper rivalry should: pre-game banter, mid-game trash talk, and post-game trolling. What most fans might not have caught, however, was Tigers tailback Clyde Edwards-Helaire's disdain the entirety of Longhorn nation with an untamed "Horns Down" gesture upon scoring a touchdown.
Wow.
Not only did Ed Orgeron's squad walk into (and out of) Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium with a big time dub, but Edwards-Helaire also managed to step on the Longhorns throats in the process.
Just go ahead and chalk up two L's in the loss column for Tom Herman and Co.
