VIDEO: Luka Doncic Has Humble Response After Breaking Record Set by Michael Jordan

Luka Doncic is having a historically great season. He's averaging almost a 30-point triple-double on 48% shooting while leading the Mavericks to a 16-7 record which puts them at third in the Western Conference. The 20-year-old is even out here breaking longstanding records, including Michael Jordan's streak of consecutive games with at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists. A tremendous feat like this would have many young players absolutely ecstatic, but Luka's nonchalant response to finding out about this shows his head is in the right place.

Doncic, clearly still upset about losing to the Kings, didn't get too excited when informed about the accomplishment on Sunday. He instead downplayed the exploit, saying that obscure stats are thrown out there everyday and that nobody can truly be compared to MJ.
If you're a Mavericks fan, you have to love Doncic's answer. A player that values winning over individual records is exactly who you want as a franchise player. He demonstrated this same mindset earlier in the season when asked about a big scoring performance.

The future is bright not just for Doncic, but the Mavericks as a whole if Luka is this serious about winning.
