VIDEO: Luke Voit Fouls Off Pitch Thrown Behind His Head Against Orioles

They say baseball is a game of inches, and Luke Voit is extremely thankful that in this case, those few inches went in his favor. Orioles pitcher Branden Kline misfired on a fastball and threw it up and in on the Yankees first basemen, barely missing his head and hitting his bat.

It has got to be an uneasy feeling stepping into the box after a pitch goes that close to your head, but an even worse feeling when that pitch hits your bat and results in a foul ball, as well as a strike.

Luckily Voit avoided injury, but unlikely it put the slugger behind in the count.
