VIDEO: Luke Voit Ties Things Up Against Rays With Solo Homer in 5th Inning
By Scott Rogust
The New York Yankees took Game One of their Thursday doubleheader against the Tampa Bay Rays with relative ease. However, in Game Two, the Rays held a 1-0 lead, thanks to a Nate Lowe RBI double in the third inning. In the bottom of the fifth inning, Yankees first baseman Luke Voit hit a solo home run to dead center field to tie things up.
That was Voit's 18th homer of the season, and you better believe there will be more of those to come in the final two-plus months of the season.
