VIDEO: Marcus Stroman Makes Gorgeous Bare-Handed Play in Mets Debut
By Karl Rasmussen
Marcus Stroman's New York Mets debut didn't start off great, as he surrendered two runs in the first inning and worked himself into a bases loaded jam. Well, after jamming the batter and forcing a weakly hit ground ball, Stroman darted off the mound and made a nice bare-handed pickup before firing off to home plate to force the out.
The former Gold Glove winning hurler prevented a further run from crossing the plate with his quick playmaking and acute awareness. He was able to get out of the inning without allowing another run, largely thanks to his tremendous defense.
