VIDEO: Mariano Rivera is in the Worst Car Commercial of All Time

It's virtually impossible to take away from Mariano Rivera's monumental achievement on Sunday: being officially and forever enshrined into baseball immortality. And that task becomes even more damning after his unforgettable Hall of Fame speech. However, we have come across a piece of footage for which The Sandman can be rationally criticized. The GOAT closer appeared in what is undoubtedly the WORST car commercial ever. Shield your eyes, Yankees fans.

Oh no, Mo. What is this shambolic display of acting?
The director of this ad needs to take a long, hard look in the mirror. He or she clearly didn't put in the work to motivate Rivera's acting competence. Super Mariano didn't look the slightest bit engaged or enchanted by the, albeit poor, rapping display.

By no means are we experts in the marketing department, but this is a disaster-class of the highest regard.
We do, however, applaud the effort, Rivera Toyota & Scion.
