VIDEO: Marlins' Miguel Rojas Goes Down With Nasty-Looking Injury and Gets Tagged Out During Struggle

Some scary news on the Miami Marlins front. During the top of the third inning of Tuesday's game against the New York Mets, promising shortstop Miguel Rojas hit a ground ball off pitcher Zack Wheeler. As he attempted to beat out the throw to first, it appeared that Rojas' right leg locked up once planting his foot, causing him to stumble to the dirt. With the game still going on, first baseman Pete Alonso tagged out Rojas, who remained on the ground, unable to move.

Rojas was tended to by the Marlins medical staff and could not put any weight on his right leg. As a result, Rojas had to be assisted off the field and into the visiting clubhouse.
