VIDEO: Marshawn Lynch's Confrontation With Player's Mom at Football Camp Caught on Tape
By Jerry Trotta
Sure, Marshawn Lynch might not be currently employed by the NFL, but that doesn't necessarily mean the former Pro Bowl running back won't make news-- and Beast Mode is in some hot water this time around after a video surfaced from his "Family First" football camp in late July. Lynch was reportedly having kids square up against each other without pads, a potentially violent idea that naturally didn't sit well with a plethora of parents. Well, it just so happens that TMZ obtained footage of Marshwn and one particular mom sharing some heated words. WARNING: the clip contains offensive language.
Following one of the drills, the mother stormed the field to have a word with the five-time Pro-Bowler, after which he followed her into the stands to continue the "discussion."
Unsurprisingly, a number of children and parents left the camp, and before the day's proceedings concluded, Lynch offered an apology to all those that witnessed the incident.
"I wanted to say I apologize to the young lady that took off," said Lynch "She probably ran off already. But, that is no excuse for what I got going on on this field... When they on this field, they belong to me. But as soon as I'm done, you can have them back. And you can do what you going to do."
Some credit is due to Marshawn for keeping his cool here, as things easily could've had spiraled out of control had he let his emotions get the best of him. But he certainly could have done more to prevent this dust-up from happening in the first place.
