VIDEO: Masai Ujiri Clearly Had His Credentials Before Taking Court After Raptors NBA Finals Win
By Parker White

Friday morning, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office confirmed they are pursing a misdemeanor charge against Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri for alleged battery of a police officer following Game 6 of the NBA Finals. He's accused of shoving and striking an officer in the face after he was stopped from coming on the court to celebrate with his team because he did not display a proper credential. But how can that be? He most definitely had his credentials on him right before going out onto the floor.
Well, maybe he lost his credential when heading to the court? Nope. Here's photographic evidence that Ujiri had his credential on him when trying to get on the hardwood at Oracle Arena.

While it's clear that Ujiri had credentials in his possession, did he have the right ones? Per NBA rules, only personnel with gold armbands were allowed to take the court at the conclusion of the game. Maybe Ujiri was wearing one or had one in his possession, but it's unclear when you look at the video.
It's hard to imagine the president of the Raptors not having the proper credentials, but these kinds of mishaps do happen. However, it doesn't usually end with this kind of altercation.
