VIDEO: Max Muncy and Pete Alonso Team up for Phenomenal Defensive Play at All-Star Game
By Scott Rogust
After a rather slow first half of the MLB All-Star Game, the action is really picking up. Cleveland Indians slugger Carlos Santana looked to have a bloop single to right field. However, Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Max Muncy dove for the ball, making an impressive stop and then flung it over to New York Mets rookie Pete Alonso, who stretched to great lengths to get Santana out at first.
Alonso barely kept his toe on the bag as he showed off his defensive prowess with that highlight.
Polar Pete is having a great All-Star break. First, he won the Home Run Derby, and now, has a phenomenal defensive play in the All-Star Game, with a brilliant assist from Muncy.
