VIDEO: Max Muncy Drills Home Run to Bring Dodgers Closer in Game 3
By Scott Rogust
The Washington Nationals got on the board early against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 3 of the NLDS on Sunday, thanks to a two-run home run from young outfielder Juan Soto. After Washington maintained that lead for a better part of four innings, the Dodgers finally got on the board in the bottom of the fifth. First baseman Max Muncy took Nationals starter Anibal Sanchez deep to right field to cut Los Angeles' deficit to 2-1, turning an 0-2 count into disaster.
If the 2019 regular season proved anything, it's that you can never count out the Los Angeles Dodgers. The same rings true in the postseason.
