VIDEO: Mets Twitter Claps Back at Fans Who Hated on the Lineup After Tomas Nido Goes Yard

Whoever runs the New York Mets Twitter page deserves a raise. On Sunday, the Mets posted their lineup for the series finale against the Chicago Cubs, and it lacked some of the best players New York has available. Mets fans logged on to voice their displeasure, but have quickly been proven wrong after Tomas Nido (of all people!) went yard.

The home run put the Mets up 2-0 in the top of the fifth, but they couldn't keep the lead, ultimately falling to the Cubs. But that doesn't mean the folks in charge of their official Twitter account don't deserve a bat on the back for this spirited riff.
