VIDEO: Mic'd Up Francisco Lindor Hilariously Heckles Liam Hendriks After Awkwardly Bad Pitch
By Michael Luciano
It's official. We need more mic'd up players in baseball. More specifically, we need Cleveland Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor mic'd up on a regular basis. After American league reliever and Oakland Athletics bullpen ace Liam Hendriks went with a funky, off-balance breaking ball to try and mess up Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story's timing, Lindor came prepared with jokes.
Maybe Hendricks should stop trying to work in all these weird junk pitches and go after the hitters, because he just blew the AL's shutout. Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon blasted a solo home run off of Hendriks to cut the American League's lead to 2-1 in the sixth inning.
Even though his team's lead is slipping away, the boundless energy Lindor provides on the diamond has made the All-Star game a much better watch on TV.
