VIDEO: Michael Conforto and JD David Demolish Home Runs to Give Mets Lead Over Pirates
By Thomas Carannante
The New York Mets are off to another hot start against the Pittsburgh Pirates, this time striking first for 3 runs in the first inning. Michael Conforto got the action started with this beauty of a solo shot to right-center field.
That's a nice cushion for Noah Syndergaard, who will look to build off of his dominant outing against the White Sox.
In the same inning, Robinson Cano kept the bats alive with a two-out double before JD David destroyed a two-run shot to left to make it 3-0.
Folks, 448 feet on the tape measure right there. Yikes.
The Mets are suddenly rolling right now, and if they can take this series from the Buccos, they'll be in tremendous shape as they gear up for a three-game set with the lowly Marlins.
