VIDEO: Michael Thomas Hauls in TD Grab After Demario Davis Forces Bizarre Turnover on OJ Howard
By Jerry Trotta
A wild sequence of events just transpired in the New Orleans Saints-Tampa Bay Buccaneers game. Jameis Winston threw a pass to OJ Howard, who tried to make an acrobatic catch by pinning the pigskin to his back. Upon making contact with a defender, however, the football bounced into the grateful arms of linebacker Demario Davis for an interception.
What on earth is Howard trying to do there? That boneheaded play won't sit well with head coach Bruce Arians.
Drew Brees and the Saints subsequently took over on a short field, and they wasted no time pouncing on the Bucs' blunder as No. 9 connected with Michael Thomas to extend New Orleans' lead to 13-0.
We're no experts, but something tells us that Tampa Bay should place more priority into slowing down the NFL's leading receiver.
Whatever the case, the Saints offense appears to be back on track after last week's dud versus Atlanta.
