VIDEO: Michigan Player Fails Miserably in Attempt to Slide into 3rd Base

Of all the times to botch a slide, the College Baseball World Series is probably the worst. Unfortunately, this Michigan player, outfielder Jordan Nwogu, went full scorpion mode in his slide into third base, failing miserably while diving into the bag.

It's a truly painful display of everything that can go wrong while trying to dive headfirst into a base. His hands stop dead, his face hits the dirt, and he skids more so than he slides. All while in the biggest game of his life!

And to top it all off, his helmet goes flying as he mercifully arrives at the bag.

But hey, at least he's safe!
