VIDEO: Mike Ford and Mike Tauchman Go Yard in 8th Inning as Yankees Reclaim Lead Over Orioles
By Karl Rasmussen
The Yankees lineup was knocking in loads of runs against the Orioles on Monday night, though it wasn't the usual suspects providing the scoring. After the O's tied the game at 6-6, the back of the Bombers' order looked to turn things around, and they did just that. Mike Ford gave the Yanks a one-run cushion with a solo blast, his first career go-ahead shot.
Ford, just recently promoted from Triple-A, was able to make a big impact for the Yankees with his second bomb of the season.
He wasn't the only Yankee looking to get some slugging in. Mike Tauchman ripped his second homer of the evening, a two-run blast to bring the score to 9-6.
Despite the Yankees' pitchers doing everything they can to hand the game to the Orioles, the lineup keeps on fighting back.
