VIDEO: Mike Francesa Ridiculously Blames Le'Veon Bell for Mike Maccagnan Getting Fired
By Scott Rogust
The New York Jets' decision to fire general manager Mike Maccagnan on Wednesday has gotten New York sports radio hosts offering their wacky opinions on the airwaves. However, there was no take hotter than that of Mike Francesa, who put the blame not on ownership for showing Maccagnan the door so late, but instead new running back Le'Veon Bell, who has yet to step on the field for the team.
That's right, Francesa blamed Bell's absence from voluntary team workouts as the catalyst for Maccagnan's firing. Mind you, those workouts are just that...voluntary.
Francesa does cite the report of Gase not being fond of the amount of money that was paid to Bell. The new Jets' running back would even take the high road on Twitter on Wednesday night, saying he's ignoring those rumblings, as his sole focus is on helping the Jets win games.
But in Mike Francesa's mind, the latest source of dysfunction for the New York Jets is all Le'Veon Bell's fault.
