VIDEO: Mike Trout Hits 454-Foot Bomb on First Pitch He Sees in Tyler Skaggs' Jersey

An Angel in the outfield, and an angel over the wall. Mike Trout's offered tremendous leadership in the wake of the tragedy that is the death of Tyler Skaggs, but no moment was more iconic than Friday night, when he hit a home run on the first pitch he saw against the Seattle Mariners. Like every Angel, he was wearing Skaggs' No. 45.
The Trout blast was to centerfield, no less, which is where Skaggs' will be memorialized for at least the rest of this season with a mural on the wall.
There are no moments, no words, that can make up for the unfortunate loss of a young life. Yet, it's the small, insignificant actions like placing solid contact on a baseball that give us some level of solace in times of grief. Trout, at the very least, has supplied that on an emotional night for the Angels.
