VIDEO: Miles Mikolas Loses it on Freddy Galvis and Benches Clear in Cardinals-Reds

St. Louis Cardinals starter Miles Mikolas is not in the mood to take any nonsense from Cincinnati Reds infielder Freddy Galvis. Mikolas, an adherent to that old pitcher school of thought which states that batters are not allowed to walk on the mound, blew his top on Galvis and started a confrontation that eventually led to both benches clearing. Luckily for both teams, no ejections were made and no punches were thrown.

Another day, another benches-clearing incident with the Reds.

Cardinals manager Mike Shildt looked ready to fight someone, but props to Yadier Molina for playing the role of peacekeeper and settling everyone down.

This looks like a classic case of the unwritten rules rearing its ugly hypothetical head. For some reason, we're still getting heated over these types of things, but at the very least it's extremely entertaining.

Luckily this confrontation only sparked some choice words and nothing more.
